There are few ways to fix a wet basement:

  • Excavation & Waterproofing
  • Interior Sub-Floor Drainage System
  • Interior Wallboard Drainage System (ML Basement Board)
  • Interior Baseboard Drainage system (ML Beaver Drain)

Excavation & Waterproofing

This is the only way to fix a wet basement from the outside. The grade along the outside basement walls must be excavated to the footing and repaired as needed. Then the MoistureLoc Membrane is applies to the basement exterior wall from the footing to the current grade level. Next, the ML Drain Board is installed on top of the waterproofing membranes. Any penetrations in the ML Drain Board is installed. A solid pipe gravity discharge to daylight is then connected to the foundation drain. Then the excavated soil must be back-filled to an even level with the highest level of waterproofing, or lower.

While this is one of the most efficient methods of protecting the basement from moisture, it is not always the most economical due to the amount of one time , and equipment involved. Sometimes this option is not available if areas which need protection are inaccessible due to garage slabs, porches or driveways.

Interior Sub-Floor Drainage System

An interior sub-floor drainage system is applicable to all types of foundations including block, poured concentrate, stone, etc. The drain is set in the concentrate floor around the interior basement perimeter. Weep holes are drilled in to block walls to drain water out of the walls into the system. Water enters the sub-floor drain system via holes on the wall side and flows in the drain to a sump pump or other drain.

The sub-floor drain system intercepts water at the perimeter of your basement and drains it, unseen, safely away-guaranteed ! The system will keep your basement clean and dry so you can use the space for storage, recreational purposes, or to finish for additional living space.

Interior Baseboard Drainage system (ML Beaver Drain)

The MoistureLoc Beaver Drain System combines superior Materials and practical design to remove seepage from the troublesome or drain. The removal of this water lowers the water table around your foundation, thus relieving hydrostatic pressure. The ML Beaver Drain System is very effective on all types of foundations including poured concrete, brick, block, stones etc. The Ml Beaver Drain System will keep your basement clean and dry so you can use the space for storage, recreational purposes or to finish for additional living space. There is no costly digging or damages to landscaping, sidewalks, porches or lawns outside.
